The Friends of the Archives is a non-profit organization that privately funds some of the services, activities, and programs of the State Archives of North Carolina, not provided by state-appropriated funding.
Your donation enables us to preserve and restore valuable documentary materials; purchase collections; and fund internships for students and support staff training.
Becoming a member unites you with a community of professional and lay historians who share an interest in the culture and history of North Carolina.
Support the efforts of the State Archives by funding the select acquisition of collections that would otherwise be unable to be acquired by the State Archives as a government agency.
Volunteers and interns at the State Archives of North Carolina learn new skills, enhance career opportunities, and make professional and social contacts.
